Here’s a look at the UNCF BetterFutures campaign that makes African-American children investments. Created by Y&R in cooperation with the Ad Council, the PSA uses financial language (gains, dividends, returns) to emphasize that mind is a great thing to invest in. I think the framing is clever and appealing. I may have even framed it this way if I were working on the project. My concern is where is the line in which we stop being interested in human value and concerned for welfare? Does everything need to be marketed as a capitalist venture?
